Do I need a motorcycle license?

Nope, to rent our mopeds you must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver’s license.

Can I ride with a passenger?

Hawaii state law limits mopeds to only the driver.

Is it required to wear a helmet?

Yes, it is required by our Participant Agreement that you wear a helmet. Hawaii state law requires protective eyewear, please ensure you have sunglasses to wear while driving. Every moped rental comes with a DOT certified helmet and lock.

Is there a location limit to drive the mopeds within?

Yes, the mopeds should only be taken within the North Shore area, ranging from Mokuleia to Hau’ula. This usage zone ensures we are able to provide timely help in the event you may need assistance with the moped. If you take it outside of these towns, we can’t reach you within an hour and that’s no fun for anyone!

I've never rode a moped before, can I still rent one?

If you’re renting for an extended period of time, then it can be okay as a firt-time rider. The longer rental period gives you extra time to practice and get comfortable on the moped before taking it out on the main roads. If you’re looking to rent for the day or only a few hours, we do not recommend that those without experience rent; as you will not have enough time to practice and get comfortable, plus go enjoy your time with the moped. Additionally, you will be required to do a test drive. If we do not feel confident in your capabilities after the test drive, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation for a full refund. Safety is the #1 priority!

What areas do you service?

We currently offer drop-offs from Waialua to Laie. If you’re staying outside of this area, but would still like to rent a moped, we can find a meeting spot within the serviced area.

What is your cancellation policy?

You can cancel for a full refund up to 72 hours before your reservation is scheduled to start. Please email hello@gowithstoke.com to request a cancellation. If you cancel less than 72 hours before and/or make a reservation and cancellation in the same day, $25 will be withheld.

Is there a delivery fee for the drop-off?

Nope! We pride ourselves on being a mobile service and want to make the rental process as convenient as possible for our customers.

Where can I park the moped?

Look for bike racks or designated moto parking areas. Whenever you park the moped, lock it. They are relatively light, making them easy to steal.

Do your mopeds have surfboard racks?

Sorry, we do not offer surfboard racks at this time.

When can I expect my security deposit to be returned?

Given that the moped is returned in the same condition it was given to you and you received no parking tickets, then you can expect the full return of your security deposit to be issued within 24 hours of moped pick-up. You will receive an email confirmation. It may take up to 5-10 business days for your bank to credit it back to your card though.
